A Weekend In Taos

What to do on a warm winter day in Taos, NM.

This past weekend we visited Taos, and it was 75 degrees in FEBRUARY! So, what is there to do you might ask?

We arrived late on Friday so let's skip that day ...

Saturday I woke up early still being on central time (I live in Texas). I grabbed my ski gear and headed straight for Taos Ski Valley. It was a beautiful drive up even though I was a little worried that it looked too much like summer while driving through melted snow puddles.
None the less, made it to the top and layered up on minimal ski clothes. We're talkin' spring skiing.
Hopped on the lift. One of the first. And had the best runs! Snow hadn't iced over yet. I was perfectly soft and malleable as long as you stayed in the sun. Done by noon for lunch. Great way to start the day!

On my way home I stopped into town to pick up something from the store and ran into an Indian circle. How cool! I love that about Taos' culture!

A bite and brew at The Burger Stand at Taos Ale House for one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Oh and don't even get me started on their FRENCH FRIES with special dipping sauces! Roasted marshmallow was one of the options ... and for the main stream option they had sauces like garlic parmesan etc.
Amazing beer selection. This place is highly recommended and right off the main drag!
We went back for dinner. I think that's a little crazy but whatever ...

Home to our perfectly located Airbnb for the night.

Woke up early to have breakfast at the Taos Diner which has everything traditional and more. Make sure to take in the views and a spot next to the locals. Additional parking at next light.
