Last trip of the year!

Randall and I made our way down to one of our favorite spots to meet Ben and Abbie for an awesome (off the grid) New Years πŸŽ‰

Our first day in the park we set up camp, had a delicious dinner of wine and fajitas, followed by a traditional Randall off-roading exposition to Mexico around midnight.

*side note: I just realized I still have my clients' watermarked logo on these images from editing a couple weeks back ... oh well ... too lazy to re-download ... interested in what I do? Click Trek Your Market above!

It may look like a trailer park from the outside but once you pull in it's actually a really nice little spot to camp :) Plus a nice shower!Β

Or if you more into staying in a hotel room, stay at the GAGE. It's amazing! The old hotel is still "cowboy" style with shared bathrooms. They have a new addition to the side with updated room designed to fit in with the West Texas town (adorable)! Or if you have a large crew you can rent a house - also amazing!Β   The restaurant at the Gage is delicious!!! All local food - think rabbit ravioli and quail over truffle potatos. YUM.

The next morning we set out for one and Randall and my favorite hikes - Pine Canyon. If you catch it at the right time you'll find a refreshing waterfall at the top!Β

One of the best things about Pine Canyon is being able to see the different climates. Desert to forest, forest to lush waterfalls ... pretty cool!Β

The only other hike I would suggest is the Lost Mine trail (not pictured). It may come off a little touristy but defiantly worth the hike.Β

Every time I look out the window, I feel as though I am going back in time ... like a dinosaur is about to fly out from behind that mountain to say hello HA!

I'm pretty sure they say anything in Texas will either prick, poke, or ... idk the rest. Just don't fall off the trail :)Β
